Trisha de Guzman
I am an Editor at Farrar Straus Giroux Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, where I am lucky enough to work on picture books, middle grade novels, young adult novels, and select nonfiction and graphic novels.
Some of the titles I’ve edited include the Something Like Right by H.D. Hunter (BCALA-SLJ Children & Young Adult Literary Award), The Total Eclipse of Nestor Lopez by Adrianna Cuevas (Pura Belpré Honor), The Ghosts of Rancho Espanto by Adrianna Cuevas (Edgar Award), and Love, Violet by Charlotte Sullivan Wild, illustrated by Charlene Chua (Stonewall Award).
I was named a Publishers Weekly Star Watch Honoree in 2021 and previously discussed the current state of middle grade books on PW.
A proud member and co-chair of Macmilan DEI’s Education Outreach Committee since 2018, I am passionate about recruiting, training, and amplifying BIPOC voices in publishing—authors and publishing professionals alike.
Check out my deals page or Publisher’s Marketplace to find out more about my titles. My wishlist has a detailed overview of what I’m currently looking to publish. Please note I am only taking agented submissions at this time.
